If you wondered why I was MIA for the last few days, it is because Seth and I got to babysit our niece while her parents were at the hospital meeting and adopting a baby girl. We are so excited to welcome a new niece to the family, and it was so much fun to spend a few days with Joy. It was quite an adventure, too. Watching a busy 3-year-old for three days really tired us out. I don't know how her mom does it!
Poor Apollo was left alone in the house for three days, but luckily my pal Steph stopped by to give the poor cat some food and water. He was SO HAPPY when we got home. He curled up in my lap and rolled around, rubbing his head just about everywhere on my arms, purring as loudly as he could.
Speaking of Apollo, he loves our new down comforter almost as much as we do.

Oh how I love Apollo. He is really great. I wish I could bring Persie to Utah with me next month so she and Apollo could meet.
So I was getting stressed out about having to figure out something different to do with the tree every month. So then I decided to just not change the tree from month to month. But then Johnny was like, "Well, if it's not there to represent the seasons, it is kind of weird. It makes it look like a tree represents us as a couple." So then I had to come up with something else. Anyway, I'm not touching it again for a long time.
