Renovation: Complete

It's official. I can now stand on my porch without fear of plummeting to my death.

Wet cement landing with a plank walkway so we can escape the house.

I can't decide if this is entirely good. At least while the porch was crumbling I had the chance of seriously maiming myself and suing the HOA for everything under the sun. But alas, easy money has never been in the cards for me.

Our neighbors (who I have never seen before) came home from walking their dog (that I have never seen before) just as the contractor smoothed out the last ripples of the wet cement. And wouldn't you know it, but this never-before-seen dog ran his nasty little paws through the cement and into my living room. Thank you, neighbors, for neglecting to have your dog on a leash. It was so thoughtful of you.

The work was completed on Monday, so now the cement is set and ready for you to come visit me!

It drives me crazy when people don't have their dogs on leashes! It makes the rest of us responsible dog owners look bad. For shame.

Gotta love plank walkways. They're doing renovations in our apartment building, and that's the story of my life.

Also, what a naughty dog. How bizarre!
