After a week of researching, searching, and test driving, Seth and I purchased a new (used) car last week. It's a 2006 Honda Element EX, and it's BEAUTIFUL. Really, it looks like new, and it runs like a dream, and best of all, it's an ELEMENT. And his name is Joseph.
We wanted an Element because it can do all sorts of nifty things. It has good gas mileage. It looks neat-o. And the seats do tricks! The two back seats can lay flat, or fold up along the sides of the vehicle, or be removed completely! This makes for a tonage of hauling space. All four seats can be folded down to make a bed, which is a fun alternative to camping in a tent. But we did buy a tent, so we can do real camping, too! And the interior of the car is completely water proof, so when we put our muddy camping gear or wet snowboards or other fun outdoorsy Utah equipment in the back, we can just spray it out with a hose and let it air dry.
Oh Honda, how I love thee!

Because it happens to be bright red (which Seth and I love), Susanne and Brian have decide that we are now advertising for the Utes.

Look at all that space!

The poor schmuck we bought it from really loved this car and hated to see it go. But he had to sell it to pay for a new family-sized car because, like everyone else, his wife had another baby. So in this case, babies are a good thing.

Is this the one named Joseph?
Yes. I call him Joey.
So awesome, I'm jealous! Our little Nissan keeps on truckin' though, and I suppose it is also a Ute car...
