When we moved into our new apartment, Seth was appalled to find that the internet connection here had a download speed of about 0.2 Mbps. Again, that was 0.2 Mbps. Ladies and gentlemen, that is SEVEN TIMES SLOWER than was was available in 1986. That's before the internet was called the internet.
So basically, anything with Flash wouldn't open on our computers, and you can completely forget about Netflix. Even the BYU homepage refused to open unless we gave it a good 20 minutes to try.
Today, that all changed. Today, we went from 0.2 Mbps to 20Mbps. Hello, 100 times faster!
The strange thing is that Comcast seems to have a monopoly on Provo. Really. We called about six different companies, who all told us, "Sorry, we don't cover your area. But Comcast does!"
While the American Dream of competition and capitalism is dead in Provo, at least we have had a good experience with Comcast so far. Nice customer service people, prompt repairmen.
If the internet weren't an intangible flowing stream of digital ideas, I would hug it. I'll have to settle for watching Apollo play in our tangle of cords.

Comcast are masters of our neighborhood as well. You guys are very lucky to get good customer service, the service we receive is hideous.
One of life's greatest frustrations, especially since attending BYU, is slow internet!
