Most Wonderful Time

We spent the holidays this year up in the Salt Lake area with my family. My parents and my brother Greg and his wife flew into town, and we spent much of our time at my brother Mike's house with his family. There was an abundance of Christmas treats, fun games, delicious meals, and, of course, lots of quality family time. Because Greg works for Hilton, we got a sweet employee discount at a nearby hotel, which allowed us to stay up in Salt Lake and not have to drive so far on multiple days. Thanks, Greg!

Because we would be away from home for Christmas, Seth and I (and Apollo) opened our presents on Saturday morning. Then on Saturday evening we drove up to Salt Lake for our extended holiday stay. It was fun to spend Christmas with my family members, even though not everyone could make it. And even though I had a hideous cold.

I am now on the tail end of my sickness, but Seth is just starting in on symptoms. Last night we went to the Creamery and bought matching "his" and "hers" bottles of daytime liquid cold medicine (to match our Costco-size box of NyQuil). Now all we can do is wash our hands a lot and hope to avoid a repeating cold cycle.
