A Sunbeam! A Sunbeam!

Even though we are in a family ward, the demographic is skewed toward young families. Case in point: There are about 16 Sunbeam-age children (3-year-olds) in the Junior Primary.

Seth and I recently got called to teach the Sunbeam B class, which contains half of these small ones.

Here are some quotable quotes from the last few weeks:

  • Adam Jack: "I'm gonna be a dragon when I grow up!" (x8)
  • Megan: "My . . . my . . . my daddy's name . . . my daddy's name is Daddy!" (x6)
  • Nathan: "We have four ducks! Yellow! Red! Blue! Green!" (x7)

Note the exclamation points. And the multipliers.

Lesson: 3-year-olds are loud. And repetitive.

Oh my!!! How entertaining. I can relate with nursery. This one little girl knows ONE phrase: "Whas tha?" She asks it at least 30 times in those two hours. Sometimes it makes sense, and other times it doesn't.
