On Friday evening, Seth and I ventured out to Bicentennial Park, the home of Provo's disc golf (frolf)course. We hadn't been there in about a year, since we last played frolf with Bekah and Grant. There were two other groups waiting to start their games when we arrived (including some hard-core dudes who had an entire gym bag full of frolf discs), so we decided to skip the first few baskets and play our own game out of order. Which was fun, until we got to the "back nine." That part of the course must have been discontinued, because it was overgrown with burrs and what appeared to be snake holes, and all the baskets had been removed. Lame.
But we made our own fun, throwing our frisbees to the places we remembered the baskets used to be. Now, I am horrible at "putting." It takes me several tries to get the disc in the basket. So the no-basket thing was amazing for me, allowing me to keep up with Seth's score. In the end, we tied. (Note from Seth - I won by 1 point!)
We did not get eaten by snakes, and I only got one bug bite on my pinky finger. And the weather was gorgeous! I do love the beginning of fall in Utah!
Our second date night saw us at Cinemark Movies 8, more commonly known to Provo residents as "The Dollar Theater." We saw Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World. Did we like it? Ummmmmmm . . . it was a very unique movie experience, so that was a nice change of pace. It was a fun movie, but it was a little long, and homosexuality was a little too strongly advertised (shoved down your throat) for it to be really enjoyable.
Plus, the main character girl was a total wimp-face, which I CAN'T STAND! Memo to all female lead characters: If you are a total wimp-face who can't defend yourself or positively contribute to the resolution of the conflict, I hope you get punched in the face by the villain and left in the dust by the hero who realizes your worthlessness. XOXO, Heather.
In other news, Apollo is discovering his outdoor impulses. He heard the birds singing outside and just stared outside the window (those lines are the building across from us). He was most likely contemplating how to get outside and eat them.

How great! I am glad to hear your commentary on the the Seth Pilgrim movie...we haven't seen it yet and now we don't need to!
I also love the letter you wrote to the Bella Swans of the fictional world. I agree completely. That's why Hermione is so great.
And to Apollo I say, "You catch that cavalcade of birds!"
Let's either go for a walk at Kawanis Park or play again when you get home.
